These photographs of urban decay were taken in 2013 on a visit to Sicily.
Sicily has many beautiful buildings but this wonderful island is economically-challenged, to put it mildly. Many buildings, pavements and roads have fallen into decay.
The photos in this series are unremarkable as photos – they were taken on my iPhone – but they illustrate some of the most striking examples of urban decay that I found.
